The priest John was born and raised in Wyoming and is a convert to Orthodox Christianity. He was ordained to the diaconate in Los Angeles, where he served for several years. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2022 in San Francisco. He serves regularly at St Eustace the Great-martyr Orthodox Mission and also serves occasionally at St George Russian Orthodox Church in Salt Lake City. He is also an iconographer.
